Preston Sanders
June 13, 1968 - March 9, 2013
The Beginning for Preston was June 13, 1968. He was the youngest son born in Morgan County (Madison Hospital) to the late Mary Frances Myrick Sanders (10/12) and the late John O’Neal Jeffries. Shirley Sanders (sister), and Brandon Dennis (nephew), also preceded him in death. He attended primary grade school in Monticello, Georgia. After moving to DeKalb County, he attended Flat Shoals Elementary , and graduated from Walker High School. Because his mother was so involved in church activities, he joined the church (Covington SDA) at an early age. Preston enjoyed basketball, football, fishing, hunting and family gatherings. He was neat and petite in his dress and appearance, and he wore his fashions well. He could easily smile and make friends. We praise God that Preston was our loving brother, uncle, cousin, nephew and friend. His Time of the End came Saturday, March 9, 2013. Those left to cherish his memory are: Sisters; Ruby Griggs Allen, Betty Ann Williams, and Cynthia Diane Milsap. Brothers; Willie Walker Sanders (Betty), Johnny Edwards Sanders (Paige), Derrell Conway Sanders, Douglas Sanders, and O’Neal Green; Ms. Elise Jones, aunt; Mr. W.T. Jeffries, uncle; nieces, nephews, cousins, and special aunts of the church, Sis. Grace Boswell, Sis. Ann Hendricks, and Mrs. Christine Parks.
